Steve Attewell - Ceramics
Steve is a potter from Hedge End, learning and developing at the Old Kiln Studios near Winchester. He is interested in investigating both form and function. Part of his work strives to find pleasing, proportioned form within his ceramic bottles and vases. The other part is making practical drinking vessels for every-day use that retain an obvious hand-made quality.
The attraction of throwing on the wheel is that of striving to perfect form and the meditative qualities of taking oneself away from the stresses of daily life while creating something truly unique and personal. The most rewarding part is that others can also enjoy and benefit from one's endeavours.
